Memorial Day 2014

Dear Gage and Gabe,

I was supposed to work Memorial Day weekend this year, but the pharmacist who works opposite weeks from me, needed a different weekend off, so we were able to arrange a switch. We decided to celebrate the holiday on Sunday with a cookout at the house. We invited the family over and a few friends. Your Daddy bought a Boston Butt from the butcher shop down the road (Kirby and Poe) and smoked it to perfection. He also smoked a chicken and we had a variety of sides. It was so great to visit with all our family and friends.

On Memorial Day Monday, we had a lazy day around the house. We played outside and enjoyed the wonderful weather. You boys enjoyed ice cream cones and playtime down at the creek.

We enjoyed our weekend. We were able to spend time with family and friends and also spent time remembering those we have have loved and lost. Miss you Grandma and Grandpa Leister, Uncle Rick, Jason, David and Great Aunt Mary!
