Chuck E. Cheese's

Dear Gage,

Yesterday we took you to Chuck E. Cheese's for the first time. My friend and her family drove from Bardstown to meet us for lunch and games. While we waited for the pizza, we took some time to play games. You are a little too young to really understand the games, but you loved to watch Daddy shoot the basketball and throw the football.

After our pizza feast, we played some more games. You helped me play skee ball and this time you got to help Daddy shoot the basketball and throw the football. There was also a little play area with a slide. You had some trouble climbing up the platforms to get to the slide, but with the assistance of Daddy and Sissy, you were able to make it to the top. It took you quite a while to go down the slide. You were a little scared, and I don't blame you one bit. There was a little boy who was probably around 3 or 4 years old that really liked the slide, so you followed his lead and took off. Once was enough for you.

We had a lot of fun with the Dones family. I'm so glad they were able to make it down for the fun filled afternoon.

A little mud on the tires

Dear Gage,

On Wednesday, Sarah came over for a visit. She bought a Jeep about a year ago and if you can believe it, she's never taken it off road! I mean, it's a 4x4 Jeep Wrangler! Of course we had to go give it a try and the triangle seemed like the perfect place. You and Daddy went in Daddy's truck and I rode with Sarah. It hadn't rained in a while so the creek was low enough to cross. It wasn't extremely muddy either, but there were several puddles to get through. We followed you and Daddy along the trails and were able to get a little mud on the tires. It was a great time and no one got stuck!

Visit to Jackson's Orchard

Dear Gage,

We made a trip up to Jackson's Orchard last week to get some yummy apples and a pumpkin for carving. Your Granny Dows, Auntie Neenee and cousin Kady met us there. The day weather was beautiful and it made for a perfect visit. We found our perfect pumpkin first thing and put it in a wagon. You decided to ride in the wagon to keep the pumpkin company.

The crowd wasn't too large because it was a weekday, so we were able to get over to the play area quite easily. I couldn't wait for you to try out the slide, but I think I was more excited than you were. You went down one time with Daddy and that was all you wanted. You really liked the slide at the Balloons, Tunes and BBQ festival, but this one just wasn't as fun.

After your one trip down the slide, we went over to the animal area and fed the goats and ponies. You thought it was really cool to feed them and feel their tongues tickle your palms. After a quick romp on the haybails, we took a snack break. You helped me eat my caramel apple and you helped Daddy drink his apple cider. We picked out a couple bags of apple to bring home and you decided to sample one before we left. You loved it, so I'm sure we made the right choice with our big bag of Granny Smiths.

First Video

Dear Gage,

I was going through old pictures and videos and I came across your very first video. This was taken around 8 pm on January 29, 2011, so you are a mere 1 day and 5 hours old. It was too precious not to share :)

I love you,
Mommy
