Climbing a Wall

Dear Gage, Gabe and Grant,

A few months ago we went to visit some friends of ours for a cookout. They have a barn and inside that barn they converted the walls into a "rock" climbing paradise. They have all sorts of hold at various points on the wall. The man wall that runs from the floor to the roof is also equipped with safety ropes. The upstairs also has holds and there are also some obstacles with the changing shape of the wall. On the floor beneath those holds are mattresses, so as to provide some cushion in the even of a fall. Those walls only extend about 10 to 12 feet above the floor and are more suitable for children.

Gage, you were excited about climbing up the wall, but once I started to help you, you got scared. But after a few attempts, you climbed up the wall.

Attempt number 2
Gabe, you enjoyed jumping around on the mattresses more than anything, but I helped you climb a little.

Daddy even got in on the climbing action and climbed the big wall from the barn floor to the ceiling.

Coming down
We all had a very fun time and enjoyed climbing the walls in the barn.

I love you,
Mommy
